Student Leadership, Clubs, and Activities
ALA’s student leadership organizations allow students to develop leadership skills and grow into responsible young citizens of our community. ALA’s clubs are a place to nurture interests that can develop into life-long passions.
High school is certainly a place to try new things, and students at ALA do just that!
At Arizona Lutheran Academy, student leadership is a foundational piece of our school’s culture. ALA offers a variety of leadership & growth opportunities, including Student Government. Elected class officers and student council members gain organizational, marketing, and communication skills as they plan and implement social events, fun class competitions, and donation drives for charity. | Staff contact: Adam Wiechmann
NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY
The National Honor Society (NHS) is a premier organization established to recognize outstanding high school students. More than an honor roll, NHS serves to honor those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, leadership, service, and character. | Staff contact: Lynnette Stahmann
The ALA Ambassadors help in the recruitment of new students by representing ALA at events on-campus, at various schools, and in the community. | Staff contact: Michelle Meyer
ALA students have a wonderful opportunity to use their talents in other parts of the country as they participate in “Faith in Action” mission trips. | Staff contact: Brad Bode
The ALA Hiking Club does not require formal membership, rather all ALA students are invited to join the group for one or all of club’s planned hikes each year. | Staff contact: Brad Bode
MEDIA INTERN TEAM
The Media Club is open to anyone interested in graphic design, photography, blogging, or videography. Students complete at least two major projects each year. | Staff contact: Jen Bode
ALA’s theater group presents new productions each spring. Past productions include Broadway classics like Shout!, Cinderella, and Les Miserables. | Staff contact: Joshua Severeid
Activities at ALA aren’t just limited to our students; we love to get the whole family involved! The Booster Club is open to parents, grandparents, and friends who work together to support academics, athletics, and the arts! | Staff contact: Jen Bode
Sports Managers: Coaches utilize managers to keep the team organized at home and on the road.
Event Staff: There are numerous volunteers needed at home events to run the clock, line judge, run the gate, and more. Volunteering is a great way to support ALA and meet classmates, too.
